Where I got it: I got these from my local Lush store in Botany Town Centre and they were right next to the fresh mask stand. They were $14.90 a pot (65g), and there were I think a total of 5 different masks to choose from.
What I got: These are the Lush Jelly Masks. I got 1000 Millihelens and Bunny Moon. They are face masks in a jelly form. They jiggle and bounce, but you can pinch a piece out and break it down to a paste.
Bunny Moon: When you look at the moon, what do you see? Some see a face, some see a dragon, others see a bunny. When you want soft and strokable skin, this bunny is the one for you. Honey is antiseptic and moisturising, rose oil helps to soothe and balance while chamomile and marigold infusion calm the skin. A dash of gentle, cosy vanilla and benzoin resioid helps you feel comforted. You’ll be a happy bunny with calm and clear skin.
1000 Millihelens: Get back the skin you myth’d with enzymic and brightening fresh apple juice and toning green tea. Witch hazel plays no tricks with its antibacterial and astringent gifts. Sicilian lemon and Brazilian orange oils help to brighten the skin while neroli oil gets to work at brightening the mood. If you fancy swanning around with firmer skin give this a Troy.
How I find it: First time I used it, I didn’t read instructions and I used wet hands and face. Needless to say, it didn’t really work. The jelly was quite stiff and if you use wet hands to try and mush it and break it apart, the product will just slip and run everywhere. So what you need to do is wash your face, pat dry and ensure your hands are dry as well. Scoop out a generous amount (see below) with a spatula. Then you mash it up in your hands. You need a bit of patience to get that all mashed up into a paste-like consistency. Then just apply to your face and leave on for 5-10 minutes. The mask dries down a little and it will feel a little tight and dry, but not to the point of cracking like a mud mask. Wash it off with water with a bit of help with a cloth if you wish.
Overall: These jelly masks caught my attention right away at their little stands so I grabbed two (1000 Millihelen because it has green tea and Bunny Moon because of the Chamomile). If you just touch it from the pot, you won’t pick up anything and it is best to pick up the product with a spatula so it is nice and clean and tidy. I love both masks I picked up especially Bunny Moon because of the chamomile scent. It is soothing and feels really nice on the skin. I think a pot of this will last me about 15-20 uses. After washing it off, my face feels soft and smooth and hydrated. You can use this mask as often as you like. I think I will check them out again to try some more different ones.
