Where I got it: I got this online from NZsale for NZD$15.00. Revolution is not available in New Zealand stores so you need to buy them online from tambeauty.com. They retail for around USD$14.00.
What I got: This is the Revolution Radiant Lights Palette. Our RADIANCE palette is here! ‘Take Instant RADIANCE Everywhere You Go”
Containing our unbelievable Radiant Light Illuminators. So soft and natural, to bring instant illumination to your complexion. Breathe, Exhale & Glow sophisticated palette with full-size mirror. It is cruelty free and gluten free.
How I find it: Initially, I wanted to get the Laura Gellar highlighting palette which looks pretty much the same as this palette (I think this might have copied the style). But I wasn’t able to purchase it from their website and I can’t be bothered looking around elsewhere. There are tonnes of highlighter palettes out there with different themes and combination, so getting another highlighter palette is simply to satisfy my online shopping craving and the fact that I like to play with new makeup. These shades are actually quite ordinary and I might have already own similar shades (they all pretty much look the same when applied anyway).
Anyway, back to the palette. It comes in a plastic black palette with 3 round pans and a generously sized mirror. They are all powder products and are quite finely milled. The left shade is looking quite champagne, while the middle shade has a more pinky undertone and the last shade on the right has an obvious golden undertone. They all give a nice sheen and glow to the skin that looks natural and not too sparkly. They are pigmented if you swatch them with your fingers, but if you pick up the product with a brush, it doesn’t pick up too much which is what I like. I like to be able to build up the pigment especially for highlighters.
Overall: All the shades in this palette is suitable for everyday use. They are great on fair to medium skin tone and the pigmentation is pretty good. It doesn’t kick up too much dust and the size of the pan is quite easy for a highlighter brush to pick up without touching other shades. The 2 shades on the left are quite similar from the pan and on the swatch but the middle one has more of a pink undertone. Overall, quite a nice palette if you prefer more natural looking highlight that is buildable.
