Where I got it: I got this from my local L’Occitane store in Botany Town Centre for $45.00. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted to get which is the 500ml pump bottle of this absolutely divine shower oil, but they sold out! Such a disappointment! I got the size down because I was running out and they didn’t know when they are going to restock. The 500ml size was sold out online as well. I was gifted a bottle of this about 3 years ago from a girlfriend and I fell in love. When I finished it, I moved onto something else that I have in stock so I did not repurchase. Recently, I used a small travel sized bottle of this shower oil and I relived the love I was in with this stuff. So when I’m about to run out, I went to get a new one. They also have refill packs too which is great for the environment and for your wallet.
What I got: This is the 250ml bottle of the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil. Transforms into a lavish, softening foam (original and unique in texture) that leaves a satin-like softness all over the body. Rich in almond oil and nourishing lipids. Cleanses gently to impart a delectable perfume. Keep handy in bath or shower as an extra-pampering alternative to Shea Butter Soap and our fragrance soaps. Almond is well-known for its ability to soften the skin. L’Occitane has harnessed the exceptional toning power of almond from the south of France and integrated it in body treatments and toiletries that are both deliciously tempting and wonderfully effective. Skin looks and feels more smoothed and toned, and the body feels reshaped.
L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil
How I find it: I keep the bottle in the shower, but away from direct stream of water because I’m always worried about getting water into the bottle and ruining the oil inside. So I used this as I would any body-cleanser, I wet my body and pour the oil onto my hands, then I just lather it up all over my body. The oil tends to turn thick and hard to spread for a few seconds, but when the water on your body mixes with the oil, it turns into this milky lather that glides all over the skin effortlessly. It feels almost like a lotion on the skin and the scent is just heavenly! After cleansing, I just rinse it off until I don’t see any cloudy water down the drain. Pat dry your skin and you don’t even need a body lotion!
Overall: This is my holy grail body wash and I don’t think I will ever let myself run out of this stuff. I don’t use this every day because it is not the most affordable shower gel/cleanser. I use this about 2 times a week, or more during winter, I will alternate with a more affordable shower gel or something a little bit invigorating or even a body scrub. This is kind of like my at-home salon treatment and I just love using it so much! Every time I walk out of the shower after using this, my skin is soft and smooth, I smell great and I just feel so relaxed. Definitely, go into a L’Occitane shop and take a sniff and the fragrance, it is so so good! If you don’t want to commit to a big bottle, L’Occitane almost always have those little gift sets you can buy just to try out some of their products. Otherwise, try and ask for a small sample from the counter first, their staff is amazing and super friendly.
