Where I got it: I got this from my local L’Occitane store for $78. You can also purchase this online, but they always give you free samples at the store and the staff there is so nice, I love going into there. There is always nice little gift packs, travel-sized packs and value pack available in store so it might pay to hit the stores to see if your favourite products are in a value pack.
What I got: This is a 200ml tub of the L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate. Enriched with powerful almond extracts, the Almond Milk Concentrate melts into the skin to help the skin look firmer and smoother while bringing 48 hours of hydration. Skin feels nourished and comfortable thanks to the association of almond milk and oil, which helps to moisturise and soften the skin. A new complex, associating walnut seed and almond extract, helps to protect skin elasticity while stimulating cellular renewal, making skin seem smoothed and tightened. Skin looks firmer and re-densified thanks to the action of almond proteins and a silicium derivative. After one month of use, body contours are better defined, while skin looks firmer and satiny-smooth. The almond nut, which grows protected in a beautifully soft and green velvet shell, is renowned for its ability to soften and smooth the skin. L’OCCITANE is committed to purchasing almonds from producers in the South of France so that the almond tree, which had long been forgotten in the region, once again becomes a familiar element in the Provençal landscape.
How I find it: I love to use this body cream when I’m doing a pamper night. I would use the Almond Shower Oil to cleanse, then use this cream all over my body. The same Almond scent is so delectable it leaves me feeling so relaxed and I can’t stop smelling my arms. This cream has a rather interesting jelly-cream texture, it seems to bounce when you touch it with your fingers and it blends out easily into the skin. I like to use a little spatula to scoop the product out so I leave the cream inside as hygienic as possible. I don’t use this everyday, but maybe twice a week.
Overall: First of all, $78 for a body cream or body lotion is not usually what my budget is, but ever since I jumped back on the Almond Shower Oil bandwagon, I just fell in love with the entire range. I decided to treat myself and use a luxurious body cream once in a while when I get time to pamper myself. This cream has an almost jelly-like texture to it while it’s in the tub. It has a bit of a jiggle when you move it around. If you pick it up with your fingers, chances are it will pick up very little product. Unlike the traditional cream texture, this fells kind of like gel and kind of like jelly. You really need to use a spatula to pick up product unless you want to dip your fingers in and scoop it out.
I really really love this cream and I think I will keep repurchasing. It moisturises and nourishes my skin, which I can feel even the day after. Maybe I will give their velvet balm or supple oil a try next? What do you think? Have you tried any of their products in the Almond range?
