Where I got it: I got this from my local Lancome counter for $55 on the day that they are launched. Farmers were doing a gift with purchase that day where you get a cute gift pack when you buy 2 product, one being foundation or skincare. Of course, I got two item and got the gift! I got their stick foundation as the second product and I love it.
What I got: This is the Lancôme Custom Highlighting Drop in Champagne Glow (15ml). A lightweight, highly pigmented liquid highlighter that easily blends with foundation. This liquid highlighter and bronzer give you the power to control your glow. Buildable droplets are enhanced with light reflecting pearls to leave an intense shimmer on the skin. Our innovative water-in-oil emulsion is lightweight and highly blendable to work seamlessly with your foundation without creasing or settling into fine lines. Mix into your foundation for an allover dewy glow or apply on top of your foundation to highlight or bronze.
How I find it: When I was at the counter, the product wasn’t even on the shelf or had a stand to promote it because they have only got the product and no tester to put out. The Lancome lady at the counter was really nice and she showed me the product bottle (without opening the bottle) so I can see it. Of course, the bottle is clear so you can see clearly, but having it tested on your skin makes such a big difference if you like the formula or not. The formula is unexpectedly thick, unlike the CoverFX Enhancer Drops. There is a stick no the bottle to teach you how to use the dropper properly. It tells you to pull the dropper out and squeeze out the air before replacing it and let go of the pump to suck the product up into the tube. Then the product is ready to use.
I like to put the product on the back of my hand and then use my fingers to apply and blend with either my fingertips or with a damp beauty sponge. I would use my fingertips to blend if I want to keep the intensity and I can also build it up if I want stronger highlight.
Overall: Champagne Glow is a really pretty silvery glow that gives the skin a beautiful cool glow. I wouldn’t mix this with my moisturiser and use all over my face because of the silvery shimmer, it would make my pores stand out and the cool undertone glow would look a little strange on me. If I were to mix an illuminator in with my moisturiser or foundation, I would probably go with something that is more warm-toned, maybe the 2 other highlight shades Lancome has. Therefore I would much prefer to mix like half a drop of this into my foundation to give a more luminous finish to my foundation or use as a highlighter or inner corner highlight. Definitely beautiful and easy to use and blend. Buildability is good as it lasts on the skin as well.
