Where I got it: I recently saw a beautiful Instagram post from Cassandra Myee on this Chi Chi Cosmetics palette and was so intrigued. It was a multi-colour iridescent highlighter and it is right up my alley, I had to get it. So a few days later, I am in Farmers, picking it up. I also saw a couple of other highlighter palettes there (a cream one I am very interested in as well), but I managed to just grab one. Farmers was doing double points for all Chi Chi products so this palette is RRP$39.99.
What I got: This is the Chi Chi Cosmetics Iridescent Glow Highlighting Palette. Highlighting creates the illusion of more light reflecting and flowing hence making those features more defined. Our iridescent Glow Highlighting Palette has been inspired by the beauty of precious stones that dazzle and sparkle when they capture the light. This collection of opalescent, luminous shades seem to change when seen from different angles whilst at the same time maintaining their illuminating glow. Total 21g of product.
How I find it: First of all, I am no newbie to coloured highlighters or iridescent highlighters or even holographic highlighters (thick ColourPop, Cover FX, etc.), and I would say that my favourite part of makeup is highlighters. They are beautiful to look at and are so much fun.
OK, let’s get back to the palette. The palette comes in a very sturdy and tough cardboard casing which has a magnetic closure and a good sized mirror. It comes with a piece of plastic film to protect the product and everything looked perfectly clean and nothing was flying around. Immediately I was drawn to the iridescent look of the shades, I move it around in the light to see the colours shift. The main theme in this palette is that it has an iridescent shade to all a number of colour undertones.
Overall: I enjoy this palette very much and I can use all of these shades and eyeshadow as well (inner corner highlight!). This palette has pretty much every shade that I need, but I would still use my highlighter drops for when I want more impact or intense highlight! These blend well over foundation or powder without grabbing anything underneath. Th pigmentation though is not super, but I think it is just right for a highlighter as I like to go light-handed to start with and build up the intensity as I wish.
