Wet n Wild Hello Halo Liquid Highlighter

Where I got it: I got these on ebay because Wet n Wild New Zealand does not stock these yet and I’m not sure if they ever will. I have seen so many Youtubers review them, rave about them and talk about them. As a highlighter junkie, I have to get my hands on them. I got these for NZD$20.98 including postage (for both).

What I got: These are the Wet n Wild Hello Halo Liquid Highlighter (304A Halo, Goodbye, and 306B Guilded Glow). Comes in a total of 7 shades. Intense is the name of the game with this buildable liquid highlighter that delivers a multi-shimmer glow thanks to its shimmering pearl pigments. The hydrating formula is infused with powerhouses like Murumuru Seed Butter, Grapeseed Oil, and Vitamin E to help smooth out the skin’s texture.

How I find it: These liquid highlighters come in a glass bottle with a plastic screw top attached to a large doe-foot applicator (similar to the Tarte Shape Tape). The glass bottle shows exactly the shade the product is inside.

I only have the shade Halo, Goodbye and Guilded Glow. Halo, Goodbye is a light pink shade and Guilded Glow is a light gold shade. You can apply there product directly on the areas you want to highlight, or you can put it on the back of your hand, sheer it out a little and the apply to were you want it. I always find it easier to use and control when I put it on the back of my hand and blend with fingertips.

I would say that you could mix it in with your foundation to illuminate the entire face because the formula is not very opaque or too shimmery. It is more of a subtle highlight/illuminator in my opinion.

Overall: So, I would say these liquid highlighters are really pretty and the glass bottle was a little unexpectedly high quality that I would have expected. These are pigmented but not very opaque as in when you blend it, the metallic effect gets sheered out a bit. Compared to something like CoverFx, these are obviously less metallic and shimmery. If you want a more blinding highlight, you will need to pack it on, but you just have to be careful layering liquid highlighter on because they can get patchy. These also fade a fair bit I would say. I have combination oily skin and by the middle of the day, the product has faded quite a bit, by the end of the day it’s almost down to nothing. I guess you can extend the longevity by applying a powder highlight just to set it in and add extra drama but not everyone likes to do that.
