NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

Where I got it: I got this from the Mecca Maxima store in Albany Mega Centre for $47. I have been wanting to try this for a long time now, but I have heard mixed reviews in regards to how this creases around the undereye area. Some people do swear by it so I think it is time for me to give it a try.

What I got: This is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in CustardThis iconic concealer has a beautiful, luminous lightweight finish that is a favourite among makeup artists. With skin care benefits that hydrate and light diffusing technology that creates a softer, smoother looking complexion. This concealer diminishes the appearance of fine lines and signs of fatigue making it an essential for everyone to have. Coverage is buildable, long wearing and crease-proof.

How I find it: Ok, so this concealer has been out for a long time and has been dubbed as one of the best concealers out there for undereye circles. Until ShapeTape came along. I mean they are quite different, the ShapeTape has more of a dry formula but the NARS one has a more creamy, moisturising formula, so it really depends on the look you want or really, your skin type. I mainly use concealer for my undereye area because I don’t really believe in concealing blemishes and I don’t have any sun spots or discolouration spots at the moment. I like to apply concealer after foundation because I blend my concealer with a light hand so I don’t rub my foundation around too much. I noticed that if I put foundation over my concealer, it tends to either get really dry or the concealer disappears because I blend my foundation too rough.

Anyway, I apply the concealer directly and blend with a small beauty sponge. Then I use my Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to set. The concealer is really creamy and blends out beautifully. It is not too thick but provides really good coverage without looking patchy and cakey. Setting this with powder is absolutely necessary for me and even if I do, it will crease without about 2 hour’s time (that’s just my problem I think. I have never found a concealer that does not crease). But the formula adheres to my undereye area beautifully without making the area look dry or accentuate lines around the area.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer vs Too Faced Born This Way in Medium

Overall: First of all, the square tube packaging looks really sleek and nice, but the matte black handle just seems like a dust and dirt magnet. I like the long, thin applicator actually compared to the large one like the ShapeTape. I don’t use a large amount of under eye concealer so a smaller applicator is better. It is creamy, pigmented and it’s a full coverage concealer. It does need some setting powder or baking though because of how creamy it is. It brightens my under eye area slightly and it made my eye area look pretty flawless. I have already got a compliment on the first day of wearing this. I like to blend it out using a tiny beauty sponge but I can also use my fingertips which works just as good. You can definitely use this all around the face, not just the eye area.
