Where I got it: I got this from the LoveMyMakeup store in Sylvia park for $14.95. They also have a website and you can get free shipping if you purchase over $25. Join free as their VIP to get discounted pricing, rewards and a little birthday surprise.
What I got: This is the L.A Girl StrobeLite Strobing Powder in 110 Watt. Strobe Lite Strobing Powder highlights your facial features by creating more depth and dimension where light usually hits. The soft and silky powder adds a fresh glow to highlight cheeks, brighten eyes, sculpt nose, and enhance pout. Strobe Lite can be applied alone or over makeup for a perfect glowing complexion. The powder is paraben and fragrance-free and available in 12 shades.
How I find it: I love highlighter. Liquid, powder, loose powder, cream, you name it, I love it. This is a really pretty powder highlighter and the pan is larger than I expected and prettier than expected. The shade names are quite interesting but doesn’t really tell you much. 110 watt is a gorgeous white gold highlighter. Finger searching gives a more intense effect whereas a brush swatch gives a more diffused, natural glow look. You can build up the intensity and it would not look chunky or chalky.
Overall: This is no doubt a beautiful highlighter for the price. From the pan, it doesn’t look cheap or chalky. From the swatch, it isn’t chalky, powdery or chunky. It is more of a dry powder instead of a creamy powdery formula of the likes of ColourPop products (love those too by the way). This is great on its own to build up or on top of a cream highlighter as a topper. There is little to no fallout and the highlighter stays on the skin pretty well (unless you rub it of course). I will definitely get more shades if there are ones that stand out because they are really affordable and good quality for their price.
