So it has been a good 20 weeks since my first sign up with Caci Clinic for my Reformaskin plan. I started with a rather severe acne scarring around my cheeks and jaw area and enlarged pores around my nose and cheeks as well. What I wanted to achieve was to improve my skin texture and overall even skin tone from the years of acne scarring.
Head to the first post of my Reformaskin journey to see more of what my plan includes, etc. I will be doing another skin update for my next 20 weeks progress.
So far, I can definitely see improvement on my acne scarring around my cheeks, even though the microdermabrasions and collagen induction does not prevent my hormonal breakouts, they do assist in the healing of the scars and help the breakouts disappear faster. Blackheads on my nose have reduced and pore size has diminished. I can step out of the house with no foundation/BB cream and not feel conscious about my scars. I do look forward to further minimising my deeper acne scarring, they have been with me for a long time so these will take a while.
In terms of the treatments, I really enjoy my Microdermabrasions because they are only slightly uncomfortable, but the glow it gives my skin afterwards is quite nice (especially the morning after). The collagen induction treatment is something I don’t really look forward to because of the pain. But once you get through the pain (only around 10-15mins), you would be great knowing your skin is producing collagen to help heal the skin. No pain no gain.
Ok, see you guys next week for my Sonophresis facial update!
