What I got: This is a 30ml tube of the Avene TriAcnéal Expert Emulsion. It is an evening moisturiser that comprehensively targets blemishes, marks and the first signs of ageing, so that those looking for clearer skin and anti-ageing care no longer have to compromise.

Avene TriAcnéal Expert Emulsion
How I find it: Adult acne has bothered me for some time already and even though I am going to Caci Clinic for Microdermabrasion and Collagen induction therapy and facials, there isn’t much they can do for my ongoing hormonal breakouts. I usually have them worse when I’m stressed and lack of sleep. I would break out badly around my chin and jaw area. So I love to try everything out there for adult acne or something that addressed breakouts and anti-ageing at the same time.
This is a nighttime moisturiser. While the packaging isn’t very clear as to what it is, it only states what it addresses and calls it an emulsion. It comes in a slim white plastic bottle with a cap. It has an airless pump and is super hygienic because there is no little hole for the product to come out. You just pump it and the slightly yellow tinted lotion comes out from a small opening. I would use about 2 pumps for the entire face. It has a slight scent but it’s not overpowering.

Overall: First of all, I love the simple texture of this lotion. It’s not too thick but provides enough moisture to my combination skin. It is quickly absorbed into the skin and is not greasy at all. I use about two pumps for the entire face and neck and I don’t need anything else unless it’s winter time at night. I have also been using the Cleanance Expert during the day to treat my blemishes.
So far I have been using this for almost 2 weeks and I’m already seeing results. There is a significant reduction in new blemishes which I am prone to getting around my jaw and chin area. My existing blemishes are slowly fading and I haven’t even been using additional spot treatments. I do still see little under the skin bumps but they are not really pimples as they do not really surface or become red and sore.
I have used it for another 2 weeks and my final thoughts are I love this stuff! It’s hard to find a skincare product out there that addresses adult acne/breakouts and not be drying or irritating. This product provides good hydration and moisture at the same time treat my breakouts gently – no peeling, no dryness, etc. I would definitely recommend to pair this with the Cleanance Expert Emulsion in the morning because this is supposed to be used only at night. I noticed that besides calming down my existing breakouts, it also prevents new breakouts forming. I don’t see new breakouts as often and when I do, they seem to disappear within 2-3 days. They don’t come up the surface so I am less likely to pick at it (I know, I shouldn’t but I cannot resist). Definitely will finish this bottle and repurchase.
