Nygle skincare

Where I got it

I was recently sent some of these samples to trial and review of this new brand Nygle which is made in New Zealand. Nygle skincare combines scientific approach with nature’s potent ingredients. Currently, you can only purchase Nygle skincare products on their website www.nygle.co.nz.

What I got

I was sent a handful of samples of the Nygle Rosa Essential Rejuvenating Oil and the Rosa Intensive Moisturising Cream. These two products are the only products they have on offer at the moment and from what I noticed, the focus ingredient is rosehip oil Co-enzyme Q10. They focus on hydration and moisturisation, therefore I would say the range is perfect for people with normal or normal to dry skin. I have combination oily skin, but I still enjoyed it. Read more about my thoughts on each product below!

How I find it

Rosa Essential Rejuvenation Oil (RRP$49.99 or 30ml). Blending gentle natural ingredients to keep your skin hydrated, youthful and firm. This unique blend of natural nourishing oils and Co-Enzyme Q10 helps you repair your skin at the deepest level. Furthermore utilising our most effective hydration delivery system, moisture stays locked in well after application, and all day long. Best results when used in conjunction with our Rosa Intensive Moisturising cream. Main ingredients: Rosa Canina fruit oil (Rosehip oil), Co-Enzyme Q10, Almond Oil, Jojoba seed oil, natural fragrance.

Rosa Essential Rejuvenation Oil

This facial oil has a light yellow tint that is very typical of rosehip oil. It has a beautiful rose scent and a lovely smooth texture. It’s not a really thick oil but it’s not an ultra-lightweight oil as well. As I mentioned above, I have combination oily skin where I have an oily t-zone and my cheeks can get a little dehydrated and dry. I like to use a facial oil at night and especially in winter months.

This facial oil makes my skin feel hydrated and nourished. It takes a bit of time for my skin to absorb the oil and I think it kind of creates a barrier to prevent any moisture loss from my skin. Hence, I wouldn’t use this during the day and I also don’t need a moisturiser after the oil. Overnight, my skin feels super smooth and supple, it does not break me out, but I can reduce the use from every night to every other night when summer comes.

Rosa Intensive Moisturising Cream (RRP$59.99 for 50g). Our Rosa Intensive Moisturising cream has a blend of natural nourishing oils and Co-Enzyme Q10 to promote optimal absorption of nutrients, leaving the skin, soft, hydrated and lifted. Main ingredients: Rosa Canina fruit oil (Rosehip oil), Co-Enzyme Q10, Almond Oil, Jojoba seed oil, natural fragrance.

The moisturiser has a similar scent, but a little sweeter than the oil. The texture of the cream is of medium weight that spreads easily. The moisturiser is easier to use during the day as it does get absorbed into the skin without leaving a sheen or a greasy layer. My skin feels hydrated and moisturised during the day and my makeup goes on smoothly as well.

Overall: Both products are really good even though I tried them in little sample sachets, each sachet would last me 2-3 uses, so I have used these products for at least 2 weeks. My skin loves it and so far no breakouts and no clogged pores. I would say if you have normal or dry skin, these two products would be great for you. If you have combination skin as I do, use each product on its own (i.e. oil at night, cream during the day). Rosehip is known to assist scar-healing and hydration, so I would like to see some improvements in my discolourations and acne scarring in the long run (will definitely buy the full size of the oil)!
