Where I got it
So Farmers was smart enough to jump onto the Makeup Revolution Bandwagon and started stocking their products in stores and online! Makeup Revolution has been so hyped up all overseas like the US. Their products are very affordable (more affordable that NYX and Milani) and the quality is pretty up there as well. Talk about value for money, you get that in all of their products in my opinion.
This is not the first time I tried their products, I tried their liquid highlighter and stick foundation already and I got them from BeautyBliss which is pretty much the first store to stock their products and some of their products are not stocked at Farmers too! This is $10.50 each.
What I got
This is the Conceal & Define Concealer by Makeup Revolution in shade C7. The concealer for everyone. 25 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition.
How I find it
I actually ordered this online from Farmers before they were even available in stores. I shade matched myself from the Makeup Revolution website and I got shade C7 which seems to be the perfect shade for me. It is maybe half a shade lighter than my skin tone, but I don’t want that extremely bright undereye look. I went in Farmers to test out shade C5 and C6 and they were either too light or a bit on the pink side for me.
So with the shade match sorted (they had so many shades), let’s talk about the texture and consistency. It comes with one of those big doe-foot applicators similar to Tartar Shape Tape, slightly smaller, because of its creamy consistency. The texture of this concealer is quite nice, it’s not too thin and not too thick, it glides onto my arm effortlessly and smoothly. The pigmentation is pretty good, but not as opaque as Tarte’s ST, but I like it.
It dries down to a comfortable matte finish and since the shade matches nicely, it looks really natural and not cakey on my skin. I do need to set it with powder because that would make it look even more smooth and flawless (anything will crease under my eyes anyway, so it doesn’t matter whether I powder of not). It stays on my eye area nicely without much fading, but when my mascara or eyeliner smudges to my under eye area, I do use a concealer or a retouching fluid (like Hourglass) to touch up the area.
Overall
Love the applicator and the coverage of this concealer. The shade match is pretty good for my undereye area to conceal and slightly brighten but not too much. It layers onto my foundation easily without looking cakey. I always set my concealer with a translucent setting powder like Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder or my latest find – the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting powder.
