Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer

How I find it

This primer is quite thick and you can feel that it has silicone in it. It’s more like a putty than a cream and you can pick up the product with your fingertips but I prefer to use a spatula for hygiene reasons.

So I smooth this balm onto my problem areas like my nose and cheeks where I have enlarged pores. This really smooths out my pores and mattifies my skin a little. Foundation goes on smoothly without bunching up, and the more minimising effect is still visible even with foundation on top.

Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer

Overall

This primer is pretty good stuff, pretty much as good as the Tatcha one ($89), but I do prefer the Tatcha more because it has a better texture. Tarte has a more silicone texture, Tatcha has a nice balm texture but the finish on the skin is petal smooth. It is hard to describe, but it feels less silicone-like on the skin compared to Tarte. Nonetheless, I do recommend this and would repurchase this again.
