Where I got it
I have been waiting for this to come into stores (Mecca Maxima) for the whole week because I want to try on the shades instead of getting them online. There were only 3 shades (in stores at that time) with this new formula and they were $33 each. The website has a total of 12 shades to choose from.
The new range from Too Faced that Mecca stocked were the Peach Puff Long-wearing Diffused Matte Lip Colour, Triple Scoop Hyper-Reflective Highlighting Palette ($72), Dew You Fresh Glow Setting Spray ($52), Pineapple Glow Moisturising and Brightening Face Mask ($72), Crystal Whip Long Wearing Shimmer Eye Shadow Veil ($38) and new shades for the Fruit Cocktails Strobing Blush Duo ($52).
What I got
This is the Too Faced Peach Puff Long-wearing Diffused Matte Lip Color in Stoked (2ml). This weightless lip colour evenly coats lips in a subtle wash of diffused matte colour. These long-wearing, feather-resistant shades can be comfortably built up for full coverage. Made without gluten, parabens, SLES, SLS, phthalates, fragrance, dimethicone and mineral oil.
How I find it
When I swatched this in the store, the scent is just so intoxicating! It smelled exactly like the Peach Perfect loose powder! There were only 3 shades and I chose this one which gives a hint of pinky-peach colour without being too pale on my natural lip colour and skin tone. The start the product flowing, you need to twist the bottom a few times and then you will see the sponge tip starts to change colour and product will squeeze out from the pores.
The formula feels smooth on the lips and looks really velvety matte. Every time I use it, I only turn maybe 2 clicks or 3 if there wasn’t any leftover product in the sponge tip. I love how in the sponge tip, there is always a little bit of product left so you can simply run the applicator through your lips without twisting the base to get a hint of colour. However, when you do twist up the colour, don’t overdo it because you can’t get the product back in.
Overall
The matte look of this powder puff lip colour is really pretty and it feels so comfortable on the lips too! However, it’s not very long-wearing and hydrating at all. I need to use a hydrating lip balm underneath or make sure my lips have been exfoliated and smooth before using this. For $30 this is not the most affordable lip product, but since the smell is so darn good, I do not regret this purchase at all! If you are in the market for a powdery lip product, try a Korean brand lip product – Peripera or Innisfree would definitely have a similar product and their packaging is ever so cute as well!
