L’Oreal Revitalift 7 Day Cure Replumping Ampoules

Where I got it

These are RRP$49.99 from places like The Warehouse, Farmers, Life Pharmacies. Chemist Warehouse was doing 40% off all L’Oreal products including this new product (and the sheet mask in the same range, but they were sold out at that time), so this came down to $26.99! There is a total of 7 ampoules and each contains 1.3ml of product which you are supposed to use 1 per day (half in the daytime and the rest at night time). Which is about $3.8/day or $1.90 per application. If you bought it for full-price, it would be about $3.60 per application. $1.90 is alright I guess for a serum, but $3.60 is way too expensive.

How I find it

These little ampoules are cute and from the first impression, they are just gimmicky (but I still bought them!). I gave them a go right away that night! After cleansing my skin, I applied my usual toner and then I snapped open one of these ampoules and poured about half an ampoule into my palms and applied all over my face, neck and chest area. One ampoule will provide at least 2 applications if not more.

The serum felt really slippery and hydrating on the skin. It doesn’t feel sticky at all and seems to be absorbed into the skin gradually. I was able to apply my other serum on top without any issues. Then my moisturiser on top.

Overall

I have used this over a course of 7 days, using 1 ampoule a day. I have to say the packaging really gets me and the product is actually pretty good as well, but it is worth the price and does it need to be packaged like this? It claims to have “pure” hyaluronic acid which I can’t really tell if that is true or really what that means, but hyaluronic acid is about the xxx ingredient on the list.

However, the small dose of the product means that it is easy to take to travel and the product is fresh (for the ampoule). It is hygienic as well. The product itself is pretty good in my opinion. I have combination oily skin which can be dehydrated as well which will produce more oil to compensate for the dryness under the skin. This serum really soothes that hydration and it feels silky smooth to the touch when applying. It almost feels oily but it’s not greasy at all. It is absorbed relatively quickly without leaving a film on the skin.

My overall thoughts after using all the amouples continuously. My skin is smooth, hydrated and more refined, but these are indeed quite gimmicky and you are able to find equally good hydrating serums out there that is more affordable and less waste. If you are not a regular user of hyaluronic acid, you might find these pretty good, but if you are already using something, then maybe you can just skip this.
