Honestly, Dior hasn’t been the most appealing brand to me – skincare, makeup, fashion, handbags, fragrances, I did not feel the brand appeal to me. I think it wasn’t until they came out with a bunch of new makeup either the Dior Backstage foundation that I started looking at their products. Then I also got interested in their slingback heels and handbags (lol).
About a month or so ago I went to visit the Dior counter in Farmers for the very first time and I bought a foundation. The lady asked if I wanted to secure a Dior Facial in May. I agreed and paid a $50 deposit which was redeemable with purchase.
So after the facial, I was recommended a couple of products (Post about the facial ). This serum I got is their best seller or their hero serum and she highly recommended it. I also got an exfoliating product with this as the $50 deposit was only redeemable worth 2 or more skincare products. This serum was a whopping $190 for 30ml, but I paid for it with the $50 deposit, along with $40 worth of Farmers voucher I have accumulated, so that lessened the blow to my wallet.

How I find it
After about 3 months of purchasing this, I finally got around to using it. Currently I am using an Antipodes brightening gel cleanser, a Paula’s Choice Replenishing Toner and then this Dior serum and follow with a Clarins HydraEssential Moisturiser. This serum fits right in place and sometimes I would fit a hyaluronic acid serum under this to give my skin hydration.
This is more of a detoxifying serum than a hydrating or firming one. It feels like a simple serum and it lightly hydrated the skin.
The serum has a translucent off-white colour with a hint of beige to it. It has a lightweight lotion texture which glides onto the skin easily without leaving any sticky residue or a slippery film. The texture is not very sophisticated and I don’t feel that it is full of dimethicone or alcohol so that’s good to know.
I have no irritation, redness or breakout reactions to this serum and it seems to be working for me. My skin does feel and look clearer, but I’m not sure if the results of this
Overall
I have now finished the entire bottle of Thai serum and I loved it. It lasted me about 3 months of daily use and with the first month of use, I wasn’t quite impressed or fascinated with the results. But around the last month I can see really good results and my skin feels great after using it. My skin has less breakouts and bumps. My skin looks brighter and glowing and redness has diminished. I’m not entirely sure if this serum can take the sole praise for my current skin condition, but it certainly did help!
However it is way too expensive for me to use as a daily serum, even thought it works! If in the future, my skin take a downward slide when I’m not using this, I might need to bite the bullet and get another bottle. We’ll have to see!
