Where I got it
When these first launched, I was really interested in the fixing spray and the highlighter. But at the same time, I was in a bit of a withdraw period from buying skincare and makeup. I’m not exactly sure what was going on, I wasn’t consciously restricting myself from buying, but I just didn’t feel like I needed new makeup or wanted new products. However. Social media is evil. I often see it being worn on people and these products are getting really good reviews. So the FOMO in me gave in and I caved and ordered the matte lip mousse and the fix+ spray. I didn’t get the palette or the highlighter because I really do have more than enough of those and I’m sure I have similar shades already.
I couldn’t wait to check them out at the MAC store because, with limited-edition releases, they almost ALWAYS sell out with popular shades, I might as well try my luck online. Mecca also carries MAC in stores and online, but they don’t seem to have the lip mousse online (only 4 shades in stores). So I ordered these on Farmers.co.nz but they only carried limited shades and products. Only 6 shades in the matte lip mousse ($44), the fix+ spray ($48), both highlighter shades ($77), the iridescent lip gloss ($44), false lashes ($30) and 2 brushes ($108 and $99).
What I got
I picked up the LIMITED EDITION M.A.C Cosmetics x Pony Park Matte Lip Mousse in Cordon Bleu and Prep + Prime Fix+ Setting Spray. Korean megastar Park Hye-Min (@ponysmakeup) brings her vision to an all-new, celestially styled M·A·C collection!
How I find it

The long-wearing formula provides sheer-to-medium buildable coverage with a soft-matte finish. Specially designed in metallic rose gold and matte dark grey packaging inspired by star tarot cards. Comes in a total of 9 shades.

I chose Cordon Bleu because I know that this is a powdery look matte mousse lip product so it will not be extremely pigmented and punchy. On the MAC website, Cordon Bleu is described as bright warm pink. I wanted to pick up Moot Point, but I think some shades are exclusive to countries because MAC (US) only has 8 shades, Farmers only has 6 shades, but in Pony’s Youtube video of the product launch there were 9 shades.
This type of lip product is very forgiving and easy to use. It’s less likely to mess up and even when you apply is messy, it still looks great. It goes well with these natural or low-effort looks that the entire face blends into that ethereal effect.
The shade is beautiful in the tube and on the lips. It applies like a mousse and dries down powdery. Feels so comfortable on the lips without any stickiness or dryness. However, it does come off easily with eating and drinking. It is not very long-lasting even though it does leave a bit of a stain, but it sort of lingers around the outer edge of the lips instead of the centre part. Reapplies quite good so you can easily apply on top to revive the pigmentation.
Prep+Prime Fix+ Spray (100ml). Pony’s instant fix for a mystic effect: looks locked in with soft, subtle iridescent glow. Fan-favourite setting spray, Fix+, is infused with fine pink and blue pearls that add ethereal illumination to skin. Like the original Fix+, this formula instantly hydrates and soothes skin, and sets and refreshes makeup. Specially designed in metallic rose gold and matte dark grey packaging inspired by moon tarot cards.
Ingredients: Water\Aqua\Eau, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Caffeine, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Arginine, Ppg-26-Buteth-26, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tin Oxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Silica, Panthenol, Fragrance (Parfum), Polydextrose, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Disodium Edta, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Carmine (Ci 75470), Ferric Ferrocyanide (Ci 77510).
I have previously used 1 bottle of the original Fix+ and I am still using a bottle of the Charcoal-infused Fix+ and I’m so-so with them. They came out with scented ones which I was quite interested in, but not enough to buy them over some of my favourite Too-Faced ones. Dewy setting sprays with iridescent/pearlescent are just my kryptonite. I have combination skin, so by using a dewy setting spray with iridescent pigments, it is quite risky for my skin to look greasy or too oily.
Overall
This collection launched in early October 2019. By the time I ordered my products on Farmers (19/10), Cordon Bleu sold out with just a couple of stock left for all the other shades. Farmers don’t stock a lot of the products for online purchases, therefore you might find them in-store but not online.
I love the matte lip mousse but it does remind me of the L’Oreal Rouge Signature and the Chanel Allure Ink Matte. The texture feels creamy and soft when applied and not drying whatsoever. The shade selection is simply gorgeous – they are very easy to wear and suitable for most occasions from office to brunch, weekend and night outs. The fix+ spray, however, is really nice to look at but doesn’t really give that ethereal look to the skin, the shimmery particles are too fine to be easily detected with the naked eye, especially on a face with makeup on. I would much prefer my Too Faced Dew You Fresh Glow setting spray over this for that ethereal, glowy setting spray.
