Every year, L’Occitane never fails to disappoint me with their Christmas collection – last year, they had their Jasmine Tea collection which I went crazy on, This year they brought out 2 new scents – Festive Garden and Honey. They also bring out new products too – The Petite Cleanser Hand Soap, Festive Garden Eau De Toilette and Festive Garden Fabulous Oil. Not to mention their oh-so-gorgeous packaging and gift sets! OMG!!
I went in-store to check out their new products on Thursday just when they started their Black Friday sale (everything 20% off except for discounted and on-sale items). I tested out their new Honey scented products because I was really attracted to the packaging, but I didn’t really like the scent, and I actually really liked the Festive Garden which smells really nice and fresh, not too strong and overwhelming (husband would approve).
There were heaps of gift sets in a variety of price range – hand cream trios, hand cream and lip balm sets, body butter gift sets, body wash gift sets, everything were available in gift sets. They were ready to gift sets that you don’t even have to wrap! They put it in beautiful paper bags which you can just hand it over to your loved ones.
I ended up picking up a 30ml hand cream from the Pamplemousse Rhubarbe range $14.40 after 20% discount and a Festive Garden scented Shea Ultra Light Body Cream for $52.80 after 20% discount. I think the Pamplemousse Rhubarbe is a relaunch of one of their old fragrance that was either limited edition or discontinued. They brought it back out because it was quite popular. I picked up the smaller tube of hand cream because it literally takes me forever to finish the large tube.
The Ultra Light Cream has that same whipped cream texture as the Jasmine Tea scented one I loved last Christmas. It feels like a souffle and very much like a thick whipped cream. The scent is so refreshing but not in a citrus way, it is just lovely! The hand cream, on the other hand, has a citrus base (grapefruit) and is really moisturising without being thick and sticky. It is quite like their usual hand cream, just in a different fragrance.
