Where I got it
I was on the ColourPop website ordering the new ColourPop x Bitti collection by Pony Park when I stumbled upon this shimmering body oil collection they launched a while ago. I picked up a mini glow oil (USD$8) and a body kabuki brush (USD$9.60). They were both on a 20% off sale.
I ordered this on Monday and got shipping email on Tuesday. Items were delivered on Friday.
What I got
These are the SOL Body Mini Glow Oil in Champagne (26ml) and Kabuki Body Brush. a rich, body oil that gives skin a hint of colour and a touch of glow. light-diffusing micro pearl creates a subtle luminosity for healthy-looking skin. infused with coconut, argan, and marula oils and a tropical coconut aroma for soft, moisturized skin. Comes in 4 shades and this is Champagne – soft shimmering champagne.
How I find it
The simplistic glass bottle with a clear lid and plastic pump are easy to see what the product looks like. It doesn’t come with a body brush, but I decided to get it before I don’t want to get glitter and shimmer all over my hands and I want to dedicate one brush for this product. The brush has a silver handle and the synthetic bristles are really soft and not super dense. It buffs the product around the body.
I decided to get champagne because I have light/medium skin tone and I don’t want to tan or bronze my skin. I just want to enhance the glow in my skin and make it sparkle under the sun. I use 1-2 pumps for each of my arms. 3-4 pumps for each leg and use what’s left on my chest and neck area. If you think the sheen or shimmery is too much, mix it into your favourite body moisturiser for a subtle glow.
Overall
It’s absolutely beautiful on the body! It has a gorgeous white gold sheen that makes my skin looks glowy and slightly shimmery. Not glittery at all and it’s not patchy too. It applies amazingly with the kabuki brush and I do strongly suggest applying it with a large brush to distribute and blend the oil otherwise you will get it all over your hands and it is a little difficult to remove.
As for the removal from the body, I was unable to remove it with normal body wash in a shower situation. I had to use either a body scrub or a makeup removing oil or balm to really get it off.
