Where I got it
I think I’m being so repetitive lately about how I got influenced to by my recent skincare and makeup products and I’m kind of embarrassed. Once again, I got influenced by Joanna Fleming of Adore Beauty on getting this Probiotic (sleep) Mask after numerous times she mentioned it on the podcast and her IG.
I picked this up when they were doing a flash sale one day, if you purchase anything from Aspect, you get a free 15g deluxe sized sample of the Phytostat 9 Moisturiser. So I decided to finally get this mask for $65.21.
What I got

How I find it
Joanna uses this as a sleep mask, but it is actually a wash-off mask that you leave in for 10-15 minutes. You can use it as a sleeping mask for intensified results, but the instructions do say to rinse it off. This is a hydrating mask with antioxidants so you don’t need to worry about any acids or irritating actives staying on overnight. The mask is a little sticky to the touch on my skin type (combination, oily in the t-zone), so I avoid touching it as much as I can.
After cleansing, I use a pearl-sized amount of this creamy mask all over my face (I use a little bit more to cover my neck area). Then I can either wait 10-15 minutes and then wash it off, or I leave it on overnight and wash it off the next day.
Overall
For the price of this mask, I would definitely use this more like a sleep mask when I needed that extra boost of hydration and antioxidant. Washing it off after 10 minutes seems like a waste if this can be used overnight. It might be a little too heavy/greasy when you have it on, so if your skin can not tolerate it, please remove it after the recommended time.
For my skin, I feel this mask is moisturising and soothing. A pearl-sized amount is enough for my face and I will add just a little bit more for my neck. It doesn’t sting and I feel safe to use this after I’ve used any actives or if I have any skin flare ups. I probably won’t use this more than once a week if I have my acne flare ups, but if my skin feels sensitive, irritated and dry, I would use this at least twice a week and possibly reduce my AHA/BHA masks and treatments.
The effects of this mask is probably more apparent to people with sensitive skin or if you do salon peels and invasive treatments regularly. If you have redness and sensitivity, you might benefit more from it. My skin right now is in a very happy state despite the acne scarring I’ve accrued in my teenage years. I’ve had minimal breakouts except for a couple on my chin during that time of the month.
