ColourPop x Bitti Collection

Where I got it

Just when I decided I’m not purchasing any new makeup for the rest of last year, ColourPop sends me this email of their latest collection with Pony Park! She just recently done a collab with MAC and they are so pretty!

The entire collection is based on a candy theme so everything has pinky, cherry, red, lemonade vibes. I picked up the Blotted lip set (USD$22), Super Shock highlighter set (USD$20), and a single Super Shock Blush (USD$9). I also picked up other items because they were also doing 20% off everything (except special collections, ie Bitti collection). I ordered this on a Friday and got the shipping email on Tuesday. Delivered on Thursday.

What I got

I picked up a couple of products from the ColourPop x Bitti collection: Sweetener Ultra Blotted Matte Lipstick bundle, Bittipop Super Shock Eyeshadow Foursome and Super Shock Highlighter in Frosty.

How I find it

Sweetener Ultra Blotted Matte Lipstick in Holly Lolly, Juicy Drop, Chew Holic (3g each). A medium-coverage matte lipstick that creates a soft, diffused look. it is completely transfer-proof and long-wearing but also lightweight and comfortable. no cracking or flaking! Leaves lips smooth and fresh.

Holly Lolly is a sheer matte blushing rose. Juicy Drop is a sheer matte pinky red. Chew Holic is a sheer matte hot coral red.

Sweetener Ultra Blotted Matte Lipstick

I have used their blotted lip products before and they are my favourite formula from ColourPop because they are ultra-lightweight and has that stained lip look. The matte lips are a bit too drying and I personally don’t really like glosses.

Right off the bat, I went straight into Holly Lolly because it looked easiest to wear. Without fail, it applied beautifully and feels really comfortable on. Chew Holic was the second shade I wanted to put on because it looked bright and seems suitable for day time look. However, the formula was a little patchy and very difficult to get an even application. The shade was a tad bit too hot coral for my liking and if you apply a second layer over the first layer, it gets really opaque and very patchy. Juicy Drop is the last shade I tried since it was quite a pinky fuschia shade and my yellow undertone skin doesn’t look so good in shades like this. However, the blotted formula means that this is much less bold and opaque so that intensity can be controlled and does look quite nice.

Bittipop Super Shock Eyeshadow Foursome – Walk on Air, Seventh Heaven, Gumball, Warm & Fuzzy (2.1g each). Our famous long-wearing crème powder formula with a unique bouncy-like texture. it’s super creamy, insanely pigmented, and has one swipe intensity with zero fallout.

Walk on Air is a metallic icy taupe. Seventh Heaven is a blue pink with golden pinpoint. Gumball is a cool-toned baby pink with blue and violet sparkle. Warm & Fuzzy is a mid-tone pink silver and pinpoints.

If you haven’t used ColourPop Super Shock products before, you are clearly missing out. It feels like a gel and it’s buttery soft! Applies with fingers perfectly for eyeshadow or a synthetic brush as highlighter or blush. These shades are so gorgeous! They are so buttery soft, almost too soft like I would squash it! The pan size is smaller than your usual single blush/highlighter shades.

Here are some of the looks I created with these 4 shades – I wore these to work and they are not too obnoxious and too bright for work. They give a cute pop of colour and shimmer that is not too intense.

Super Shock Highlighter in Frosty (4.2g). This long-wearing crème powder cheek formula is the bff of our famous super shock shadows; it shares the same unique texture that is extremely buildable and blends smoothly to leave the cheeks looking healthy.

Right off the bat, when I opened my highlighter, the product seemed to have either shrunk or moved. It doesn’t look like what it should be. I watched Tina Yong’s review of this collection on YT and she had the same issue. I’m not sure what’s going on here, but as soon as I tried to swatch it and swirl my fingers on it, it moved and slightly squashed into the pan (Tina’s one literally fell out of the pan!). I think it must be a production error and something in the formula went weird? Regardless, the shade is pretty but quite subtle. Would be nice if you want a subtle highlight that is buildable, but if you want blinding highlight, maybe try something else.

Frosty is a golden peachy pink with a gold sheen. I like to apply my Super Shock highlighter and blushes with a dense kabuki brush. I dip the brush into the product and then gently stamp it onto the areas I want to highlight.

Overall

I am super satisfied with the quality of ColourPop products once again. I do appreciate that they pump out a lot of new products and new designs all the time and with the price of these items, I’m not complaining about what happened to the highlighter in Frosty. They probably haven’t pressed it enough or the formula didn’t dry down in the pan like their usual formulas.

The blotted lips are my favourite and most used after getting everything. But the eyeshadows are also so easy to wear and most of the time I use these as single shades and they are striking on their own!

To be honest, I waited a bit too long to post this review and by the time I have finished the post and ready to publish, I have already made another order and that is the Lunar New Year collection! Stay tuned for that because I love the Lux Liquid Lipsticks in that one!
