Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette

Where I got it

I have been eyeing up on Charlotte Tilbury’s palettes for a while now as well as their foundation and lip products. They are actually quite expensive, but everyone uses them and heaps of people love her products, so I decided to bite the bullet and picked this palette as well as the Flawless Filter. This palette is limited edition and was USD$75 on the Beautylish.com, as shipping from CT’s website is minimum NZD$26! I ordered it on 6/2 and it arrived on 10/2.

How I find it

The overall colour story of this palette is really quite romantic and easy to wear – the eyeshadow shades are really pretty but on the darker/deeper side, great for night-time looks. I like to use some of the blush shades and highlight shades on my eyes to lighten the eye look. All of these shades are super pigmented and you really need to be super light-handed with the complexion shades. All of the shades have a really soft glow including the bronzer so you need to be careful not to apply too much of everything all over the face if you have combination/oily skin.

The bronzer is on the warm side which is great for light to medium skin tones. The blush swish shade looks kind of like a highlighter shade that is quite glowing, too much of that around your cheek so avoid using too much of that around the cheek area. The highlighter is my favourite face item in this palette because it gives that amazing glow that is not shimmery and looks very natural like I have dewy, healthy skin!

Overall

I have been using this palette every single day and even though the eyeshadow variation is quite low, I can tell you now that I will absolutely take this to travel in the future. All the face shades suit my skin tone perfectly and the eyeshadows can be worn during the day and night. USD$75 is quite expensive for a face palette, but I guess you are buying the brand name as well as the quality of the pigments. I think you can absolutely find dupes for all of these shades, but probably not in a single, travel-friendly palette.
