Where I got it
I was in the market to get some new activewear and I wanted something cute and fashionable. I have a pair of Clique compression tights which are amazing and I also have some tights from Kmart, etc. I saw Aimn has been quite popular over IG influencers in New Zealand, like literally all of the influencers are wearing them. I was interested, but it wasn’t until they are about to launch the cream collection, I decided to purchase some items.
On the day they launched the Cream Collection, I jumped onto their website to check out some of their stuff. The ribbed pieces are really cute but I know they are not compression so maybe in a hard workout, they wouldn’t be able to perform as well as something like Clique. However, I tend to do light exercise like walking or jogging around the neighbour hood instead of F45 and bootcamp style fitness, I figured they would be good enough. The Cream Collection has 3 different shades – latte, cappuccino and espresso all of which are really beautiful and complements each other when you mix and match.
What I got
I picked up a zip bra in a previous collection because the Cream Collection did not have this sports bra design, I also picked up a ribbed 7/8 tights which is pretty much a full tight for short people like me, and lastly I picked up a jacket which will come right on time as the temperature drops this month. The Zip Bra in Concrete was $75, the Ribbed Seamless 7/8 tights in Latte were $105 and the Boost Hoodie in Cappuccino was $80. The pieces were ordered on 27th March and they arrived on 2nd March with free shipping.
How I find it
The pieces came in these frosted, smooth plastic bags with zip locks. They were neatly folder in their bags and everything is nice and clean and fresh. I always wash my pieces before I wear them just to be safe. I ordered all my sizes L, the Zip bra fits quite good but it was a little hard to get out of because there wasn’t much stretch at the band, but I do like the zip design which can show a little bit of cleavage if you want to. The material is soft and smooth and there are no uncomfortable stitchings anywhere.
The Ribbed Seamless 7/8 tights are so pretty, the colour and the ribbing is really pretty and the fabric is quite stretchy. It’s soft, but not really smooth. There is no other lining on the inside, so it does feel a little scratchy on the inside. There is no side seam, there there is a back seam and a gusset, but the seams are really discreet. The deep, elasticated waist band is beautifully designed and at the back, so it accentuates your bum if you understand what I mean. There is a small little logo tag at the front right hand side and it is hemmed at the bottom as well. Feels really comfortable on…
So the Zip bra doesn’t zip down all the way, you need to get into it like you would a top and then adjust the front zip to as you prefer. I have small boobs but these give me a bit of boost and a little bit of cleavage if that’s what I want. The hidden zip is smooth and does not slide down. The back of the bra has a relatively thin back area where the side wings taper. The straps are a nice thickness and they don’t ride up your underarms and make you uncomfortable. I would assume this design might be more suitable for people with a smaller chest as size L is already quite hard to get in and out of. The thin back makes it even less back support in my opinion, but this suits me just fine.
I am actually most excited about the Boost Hoodie which in my opinion is quite well priced. I did not expect the hoodie is cheaper than the tights! The Latte shade is a nice cream colour which complements the cappuccino tights. It comes with a light hood with drawcord, thumbholes at the elasticated sleeves, full zip all the way down, and hidden drawcords at the inside bottom of the jacket. Deep-ish pockets on the sides with no zip, which I wish it had. The internal lining is really soft and warm. This would be great in colder weather.
Overall
After wearing these out for a couple of times for walks and to the park with the kids, they surely are comfortable to wear for a full day. I would say that the jacket was a little bit too big for me. I like the loose fit feeling, but it’s quite long at the same time. It covers my entire butt and the sleeves are too long as well. I don’t really mind it, but I could go for a size down next time and see the difference for myself.
Other than the hoodie, I think the bra and tights fitted very well. The high waist of the tights can help hide the loose belly, which I think could use some help with a little bit more compression, but this is more relaxed active wear than compression, high-performance activewear. The bra size fits well on my bust, but it is slightly long as well so that if I move too much, it kind of rides up a little. No big deal, just wanted to point that out.
One thing I would like to comment on with ribbed leggings and clothing is that it would give an illusion of curvier figure. If you think of wearing vertical stripes down your body and your curves morphs the straight lines to curved lines, it’s going to give illusions that you body is curvy. Not saying it’s a bad thing, but that’s just an observation when I wear it and when I see people wear it. It makes my butt looks pretty good so I’m not complaining!
