Where I got it
Another product I got from the Farmers Beauty Week where you can get double points for all brands including Chanel and Dior. This limited-edition packaging is slightly more expensive ($4 more?) and they are $67 each. I also picked up the Les Beiges Eau De Teint and Le Liner De Chanel which I will review in another blog post.
What I got
This is the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in shade 58 Rouge Vie. To celebrate Chinese New Year, the emblematic lipstick shade 58 Rouge Vie of ROUGE ALLURE VELVET slips into a limited-edition red lacquered case. A deep red lipstick with a matte, luminous finish for incredible radiance. It features a comfortable, sensorial, velvet-soft texture. Like a second skin.
How I find it
The packaging is crazy gorgeous, chin and sophisticated. It is a push-down button at the top and the bullet pops up and you just pull it out and twist the base to get the lipstick out. CHANEL embossed on the side of the lipstick. This shade 58 Rouge Vie is a permanent shade but the red lacquer packaging is limited edition.
Overall
This shade of red is really sophisticated and chic. It can be worn by more mature ladies as well as younger women. You can wear it full coverage or sheer by blotting the lip colour and you get either a more formal effect or a more laid-back, casual look. The shade of red is actually very flattering and not intimidating as well because it is not a vibrant, bright red, it is more of a subdued red with a hint of brown.
