Where I got it
Mintd box is a beauty box subscription service from the UK that curates heaps of high-end luxury brand products each month. They also have individual products and boxes for sale from time to time. I am already a monthly box subscriber for £70 per month. They often do sales for the previous boxes as well and this is one of their previous boxes during the winter months. This is the Winder Survival kit usually at £90, but it was 50% off, so it came down to £45.00 (not including shipping. I ordered this on 30/4/2020 and was delivered on 25th May. I was charged NZD$110.60 at the current exchange rate.

How I find it
Farmacy Honey Potion. The first time I have heard of this brand is this Honey Potion mask. The first couple of ingredients are glycerin and diglycerin and it has honey and royal jelly extracts. Honey is a well-known product for it’s hydrating, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties by the royal jelly extract can cause allergic reactions to some people, therefore please beware. This honey hydrating mask is quite thick but isn’t sticky. The mask goes onto the skin like honey, but once it spreads out it looks white on the skin and is slightly warming which was unexpected.
Argentum La Potion Infinie Restorative Day & Night Cream. I actually did not know what to expect for this cream, I wasn’t excited about it, nor did I know much about it or the brand. This brand is available on Mecca, but I knew nothing about it. The cream looks really simple from the little pot, it’s just like a simple pot of white face cream. It smells quite nice and the texture isn’t too special. For a first impression, it didn’t go very well, but for the price of this cream, I am willing to give it a try and finish it. The cream is really moisturising on the skin without being heavy or over-burdening. It doesn’t break me out and I can use this day and night.
Neom Organics Real Luxury Body Scrub. I love an essential oil body scrub and this one has a sugar base which I really like. This small little jar will probably last me 3 uses because I like to use a good amount of product each time and really cover my body with the scrub, but the lighweight oil-base makes the texture quite runny so the sugar granules will fall off easily. For an oil-based body scrub, I usually cleanse my body with a body wash first, then use a body scrub. The sugar washes off easily, but the essential oils don’t rinse off and will stay on the skin. I really love the scent that lingers on my body and the lightweight oil moisturises my skin and makes myt skin soft and supple, I don’t even need a moisturiser.
Earth Tu Face Hydrate and Repair Face Balm. I have combination-oily skin so I seldom use a face balm so I am a little wary of this one. This is a hydrating and repairing face balm so I would assume this is more suitable for dry or very dry skin. It is currently winter in New Zealand and I might save this for when I have a chapped nose or my skin gets dry in the cold, dry air. The texture of this balm, however, is really smooth and melts into the skin really beautifully. If this doesn’t work out for my face, I will definitely use this on my body – elbows, ankles, heels, cuticles, etc.
Skyn Iceland Plumping Lip Gels. I have never used one of these lip masks before because I really don’t see the point. I ripped one of these out of the packs and applied it after my usual skincare routine. The gel patch is clear and soft, but when I put it over my lips, it does not stick to my skin very well. I had to hold it down with my fingers and overall the experience wasn’t that relaxing or enjoyable. I think I will stick to my lip balms and lip treatments instead.
Overall
I simply love beauty boxes and this one here I got especially because of the Farmacy Honey Potion mask. I briefly tried all the products in the box, so I couldn’t do a full review of the products in here. Right at this moment, I really like the Honey mask as well as the Neom Body Scrub. The La Potion Infinie cream is really plain, but it actually feels quite nice on the skin. The balm, however it really way too thick for my blemish-prone skin so I don’t want to risk putting in on my skin and have been applying it to my cuticles, elbows, knees, etc. My least favourite product would be the lip gels and this just confirms my disinterest in these lip masks.
