Where I got it
I have seen this brand on the AdoreBeauty website and initially I as attracted by the Ice Globes, then they launched these peel-off treatment masks and I wanted them so much! However, they were nearly NZD$80 a tube and I thought it was too expensive for a peel-off mask. So when Aceology sent me an email for their end of financial year sale (20% off site-wide), I went over to their website trying to see which mask I should take and I ended up getting the bundle which is $51 cheaper if you get all 4 masks (AUD$69 per tube individually). With 20% off, the bundle came down to AUD$180. If I were to buy all 4 masks from AdoreBeauty right now, that would cost me NZD$320!
I ordered this on 2/7/20 and it was a total of NZD$213.60 including AUD$15 shipping, which works out to be $53.40 per tube. It arrived on 14/7/20 and they gave me a free Rose Petal Modelling Mask.

How I find it
Brightening Treatment Mask. This is the blue one which comes out from the tube with a metallic blue colour. This was actually one of the masks that I wasn’t really intending to get because I felt that I had a lot of brightening skincare products and I was worried that it would be another “acid” mask to exfoliate the skin. In actual fact, this has more gentle ingredients like Niacinamide and vitamin C. Salicylic acid is at the very bottom of the list which is very disappointing.
Firming Treatment Mask. This firming mask has a metallic pink colour and goodness, it’s so pretty! I didn’t know if my skin needed firming or lifting, so getting this bundle pretty much solved my dilemma! This has a couple of peptides in the ingredients, but also quite low in the ingredients list and you just don’t know how effective they will be when in a peel-off mask format if you know what I mean.
Detoxifying Treatment Mask. This is one of the masks that I wanted to get before I saw the bundle because my skin needed detoxing all the time. This mask is black in colour because of the charcoal powder. It feels exactly they same as all the other ones with no specific clean-feeling afterwards. There is bentonite clay and charcoal in this mask which claims to draw out impurities and absorb excess sebum. As a peel-off formula, I think this one works out to be the best out of the 4 because a peel-off mask would remove from your face more than add benefits to your face IMO.
Lifting Treatment Mask. This is the golden mask that looks really bougie. When I was deciding which one to get, I was tossing about this one and the lifting one and I honestly couldn’t tell if my skin needed firming or lifting? I guess I wasn’t able to find out and the outcome of both masks were definitely not enough for me to see if they did anything for my skin. At the back of my mind, I kind of knew that these won’t do much and I’m wasting my money, but I really liked the peeling off of these masks and really wanted these to work.
Overall
First of all, all the masks came in it’s own cardboard box with a free mask brush which is quite a good idea, but I like to use my fingers for these types of mask, it is much easier to clean off from my fingers than from a brush IMO. The masks are just like the peel-off masks from years ago, it even smells similar! I like to apply an even thin layer, so it dries faster. You really need to work quickly in terms of application because it can get a little messy and the semi-dried mask can be dragged around when you run your fingers over it.
The peeling off was very easy and not problematic, it wasn’t very tough to peel and not pulling on the hairs on my face. My skin did not feel or look irritated after removing the mask but I also didn’t notice any immediate effects. I used these probably once a week because I don’t want to be peeling my skin more than twice a week, so I don’t think these masks really do much for my skin (except for removing the surface dead skin from the peel-off movement). I could say that it is more a fun thing to do than anything. I would say that this is a waste of money in regards to skincare benefits, but I love a peel off mask just for fun from time to time.
That doesn’t mean that I hate the brand, I would love to try their modelling mask and hydrogel masks next as I think they would probably have more skincare benefits than a peel-off mask! I will not be repurchasing these masks in the future.
