Diorskin Rouge Blush

Where I got it

I picked this up at the Sylvia Park Life Pharmacy way before the lockdown 1.0 (March 2020), I usually get my Dior beauty products at the Botany Farmers because my local Life Pharmacy did not have Dior and Sephora doesn’t have the wide range of products. This blush is $92 and was about 10-12 shades to choose from at Life Pharmacy, and there are 12 shades on Mecca Maxima. They come in different finishes – satin, matte and iridescent.

What I got

This is the Diorskin Rouge Blush in 028 Actrice (satin). The intense colour of Rouge Blush reveals a genuine femme fatale with cheeks highlighted in sultry and irresistible long-lasting colour for a radiant, healthy glow. The range of iconic Rouge Blush shades is inspired by the legendary Rouge Dior lipstick. Colour intensity can be adjusted for a softer or bolder finish to suit your desires. Rouge Blush is available in a variety of finishes, from matte or iridescent to satiny. Its ultra-pigmented formula gives Rouge Blush intense, buildable colour on the cheeks. The texture blends seamlessly on the skin for flawless, all-day wear.

How I find it

This blush comes with a very luxurious velvet pouch in a deep blue shade that matches the compact itself. I find that these luxury compacts have a few things in common is that these compacts attract fingerprints like crazy. It is actually very annoying sometimes because they can get dirty and grubby all the time and it is hard to wipe them down. The other thing is they all come with a beautiful velvet or suede pouch, so that you can take these on the go without scratching it.

The blush shade I have chosen is quite a pinky, coral shade and it is on the lighter side. It has a satin finish on the pan, but it doesn’t show up on the face. It glides onto the face smoothly without looking patchy and it is pigmented!

Overall

This quickly became one of my most reached-for blushes because it is easy to apply, the shade is fresh and bright. The pigment does stay on my cheeks for a long time until I remove it from my face, and it doesn’t move or budge, but that might just be how good my foundation was. However, I really can’t tell if the formula is really worth the price tag because I can easily find the same shade and similar quality in pigmentation but more affordable in price. I will definitely get more shades like something more neutral and natural on the skin, but I can tell this will last me forever to finish.
