Miss Dior Silky Body Mist

Where I got it

Honestly I wasn’t planning to get this, but I was bored one day and thought I would check out some of the perfumed body products from Dior that is not from the Privee collection. I stumbled across this body mist and I thought it would be a nice light fragrance for the body and that it might feel nice on the skin.

So I picked it up for $90 with a personalised engraving on it. I ordered on Thursday and it arrived on Monday in an unmarked cardboard box. Once I open it up, there are Dior lettering inside the box and Dior confetti inside to cushion the items. There is a little cotton pouch for the samples as well. Again, I would definitely purchase from the Dior boutique via my SA if it wasn’t for the engraving option and the website stocks new collection WAY earlier than the store. You should be able to see the amount of samples I get from my SA at the Dior beauty boutique. Whether I order with her via the phone or in-store, she looks after me and shower me with samples and beautiful packaging.

What I got 

This is the Miss Dior Silky Body Mist (100ml). Airy and sensual, Miss Dior Silky Body Mist delicately perfumes and beautifies the skin. Its easy to apply formula combines the benefits of an enhancing body care with the freshness of a mist. Light and non-oily, it preserves the skin’s hydration for 6 hours, leaving it infinitely soft upon application. Your skin is nourished, smooth, glowing and the trail of your Miss Dior fragrance is extended and intensified.

How I find it

The body mist comes in a pink box that is unsealed (they had to open the box for engraving), and inside the beautiful glass bottle has a lid that you just pull out to reveal the spray. The little engraving is very small at the lower part of the bottle in capital letters (not really what I was expecting actually). The sides of the bottle has houndstooth embossing which I thought was really nice.

I was half expecting this to be like a silky body oil for some reason, but it is in fact just a body mist. Nothing really silky about the texture I would say, if anything I would say the formula evaporates, or absorbed by the skin quickly leaving no residue. The scent is so beautiful and fresh. It’s light, but in a long-lasting way. I was quite surprised at how long the fragrance last on my bare skin and that’s how I usually use it. I spray it on my body – after a shower and before I get dressed.

Overall

I am overall happy with my purchase because of the product. The bottle is simply beautiful and the details on the side of the bottle is stunning. I was hugely disappointed at the engraving of my name at the front of the bottle. I would expect to see fancy handwriting engraving instead of a tiny little text in CAPS. It just didn’t look right on the entire look of the bottle. Anyway, the scent of this body mist is really pleasant and I love it heaps. I would say alcohol must be quite high up on the ingredients list because of how quickly absorbed, or evaporate on the skin. I was half expecting it would be slightly oily, but it was not at all. The reason why I thought it would be slightly oily is because it mentions silky and that is common to describe a body oil.

I would say the intensity of the body mist is light, but still long-lasting. I do not own Miss Dior so I am not familiar of what it smells like, but I would say this has a citrus freshness and roses. I would say the scent lasts longer on the skin than on any clothing, but as formulated as a body mist, I would beware of spraying this on any clothing that you area unsure of and don’t want to ruin.
