Where I got it
It has been well over a year since the last time I bought anything new from L’Occitane. I do repurchase my favourite Almond shower oil, but I have not made any purchases of new items. When I saw their new Shea Earl Grey and Lavender CBD products, I decided to go in and have a sniff. As soon as I step into their store, I see the Lavender CBD products at the front. There are a total of 5 products under the Lavender CBD range (all limited edition) – Relaxing Shower Gel, Relaxing Bi-Phase Body Milk, Relaxing Hand & Foot Cream, Relaxing Hand & Foot Cream, and a Relaxing Massage Oil.
The products range from $30 to $69. I picked up the Bi-Phase Body Milk ($55) and the Massage Oil ($69).
What I got
Relaxing Bi-Phase Body Milk (250ml). Enriched with the relaxing aromatherapy benefits of AOP Lavender and CBD(Cannabidiol) essential oils, this body milk spray offers double benefits: it intensely moisturises and helps to soothe the skin. The initial milk emulsion provides instant moisture while the aquatic phase provides a soothing and comforting sensation. It leaves skin softer, more comfortable, and is ultra-hydrated, while its relaxing, subtle scent immerses you in a feeling of absolute well-being.

How I find it
I have been enjoying lavender-scented products lately, whether it is a pillow spray, a body lotion, or a body wash. The new lavender & CBD collection really piqued my interest. I’m not very familiar with the CBD ingredient, but I have heard that it is great for pain relief, but I also know that there are differences between different CBD oils, etc. I will need to look more into it to see what we have here and what are the benefits.
Whenever I have time, I start my nighttime shower routine with a quick body brush session. It usually takes me around 3-5 minutes after I get undressed for a shower. I start from my legs, brushing upwards and then up from my thighs and buttocks. Then I continue top my tummy brushing towards my heart. Then I move onto my arms, etc. Body brushing is great for blood circulation as well as getting rid of dead skin cells. I recently bought the body brush from L’Occitane as well because the one I have from Aromatherapy Co. was too stiff and it was quite painful to use.
When I purchased the Body Milk and Massage Oil, L’Occitane had a promo going on where you can pick a free shower gel of your choice worth $45 when you spend over $160. I ended up trying the Lavender shower gel which I have never tried before. The shower gel smells really nice and does its job, nothing really special about it so I won’t go into details. After dry brushing, I hop into the shower and then I towel-dry my body. I really don’t understand how people apply body products on “damp” skin. I suppose my skin is still damp after towel-drying, so I will use the body milk first.
Shake up the body milk and I like to spray it into my hands, spread it out and then apply to areas of my body. My aim is pretty bad, even with close range so I always get it everywhere. The body milk is lightweight and moisturising, it feels silky soft on the skin and leaves a light lavendar scent. It is not an overwhelming scent, I don’t mind using a decent amount all over my body.
For a full-on pamper session, I will also use the Massage Oil over the Body Milk to seal everything in and feel silky smooth. Otherwise, I would use either/or on their own. It really depends on my mood and how my skin feels that day. The massage oil is medium weight so it will run down the skin and stay on top of the skin for massaging. I use 2 pumps for the each full leg, and 2 pumps for my torso and 1 pump each full arm. I’m not very familiar with body massaging, so I just apply and sweep upwards with some pressure. After massaging, skin still feels slightly greasy, but very moisturised.
Overall
I love a good smelling body wash and body lotion and L’Occitane seldom does it wrong and this Lavendar & CBD is no exception. The light lavendar scent is really plesant on the body without overwhelming. The combinationwith the body wash, body milk and body oil, the entire routine is really relaxing and soothing. If you have the time, dry body brushing has many benefits on the skin and on circulation as well. However, I am unsure what CBD did for my skin or my body because I really couldn’t notice any difference.
My favourite product featured in this post has got to be the Bi-phase Body Milk as well as the Body Brush. Not saying the Massage Oil and Shower Gel were mediocre, but I prefer the Almond Shower Oil and Almond Supple Skin Firming Body Oil. The body milk provided sufficient hydration and moisture, but I have to admit I was attracted by the fact that it is bi-phase, just a fun factor.
