Skin1004 Air-Fit Suncream Plus SPF50+ PA++++

Where I got it

I entered a Picky Rewards X Skin1004 contest and won a choice of two items from the brand. It wasn’t really a contest, but more of a draw. This was a silver prize and I could pick two items from a list of about 14 products. There were a number of products in the list that I already have so I picked items I haven’t tried before. I picked this Hyalu-cica Cloudy Mist along with the Air-fit Suncream Plus SPF50+ PA++++. This blog post is for Suncream Plus and it is available on the Skin1004 website for $31.

What I got

This is the Skin1004 Air-Fit Suncream Plus SPF50+ PA++++ (50ml). An ultra-lightweight physics sunscreen blocks UV rays and brightens the skin tone with a natural matte finish. It is formulated with mild botanical ingredients for sensitive skin.

How I find it

As soon as I received the product, I opened it straight away and tried it out. I tried it on the back of my hand to check out the consistency and fragrance. It has a very light hint of greyish brown colour, and a faint scent attempting to mask that sunscreen smell. It also leaves a semi-matte finish that looks really natural.

I tried a decent amount on my face (2-finger length) and it applied very nicely. It has a creamy consistency that feels moisturising but does not leave my skin looking dewy or greasy. However, this does leave a slight white cast on the skin if you use a sufficient amount. However, a sheer to medium foundation could easily cover that up easily, it does not look chalky or ghostly.

Overall

There are many sunscreens in the market right now, there is always a new one that I want to try after I’ve finished a tube. First impression: it wasn’t my favourite ultra-lightweight fluid sunscreen that flows like water and leaves a dry-touch finish. I like the moisturising formula with a slightly mattifying finish. However, I think I would prefer a lighter formula in the summertime. Makeup also goes on without any issues, but I would always wait a couple of minutes for the sunscreen to set down before I move on to applying foundation.
