Chantecaille Bio Lifting Mask and Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask

Where I got it

I picked both of these up at Skinstore.com* while they were doing a site-wide promo. The Bio Lifting Mask (old version, now called Bio Lifting Mask+) was USD$123.75 after the discount, and the Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask was USD$69 after the discount (Mecca.co.nz sells it for NZD$178). I watched a couple of reviews on YT and Instagram and both of these products have very good reviews. The Bio Lifting Mask is a soothing face mask loaded with peptides. The Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask also comes highly recommended for dry skin and/or sensitive skin.

What I got

These are the Chantecaille Bio Lifting Mask (50ml) and Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask (50ml).

Bio Lifting Mask. Encourage a youthful-looking visage with the Bio Lifting Mask from Chantecaille. The luxurious smoothing face mask works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles thanks to a blend of moisturising and nourishing botanicals. An anti-wrinkle hexapeptide works to soften the appearance of expression lines, while pullulan (a skin-tightening agent) creates the illusion of firmer, tighter skin. Imperate cylindrica extract infuses the formula, supporting moisture retention for long-lasting softness. A blend of bisabolol and saxifrage sarmentose extract lends soothing properties, helping to relieve dryness. How I find it

I had high hopes for the Bio Lifting Mask, but at the same time, I have doubts about whether a cream mask would do anything to tighten or lift my face. I decided to use this in the morning for the first time. After washing my face, I applied the mask directly on my skin and applied it in a light even layer. The texture of this mask is almost like pudding but creamy. It has a light, pleasant floral scent. The mask was soothing on my skin. It is not a mask that dries down, but it gets absorbed into the skin. After 15 minutes, I rinse off the mask with water and you can actually wear this overnight. My skin feels hydrated and moisturised. My skin looks soothed and plump, but not particularly tight or lifted.

The Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask looks similar to the Bio Lifting Mask, but the consistency is more of a pudding/yoghurt. It smells beautiful and feels so soothing on the skin. It is lightweight and misturising. I also leave this on for 15 minutes or even longer if you wish. This is mask is very well-know for sensitive skin and dry skin so I would love to see how it works when my skin flares up. Otherwise, I will use this as a calming, moisturising mask. Once rinsed off, my skin feels soft and moisturised without feeling greasy.

Overall

I love both of these masks as moisturising and calming masks, but unfortunately cannot see the lifting benefits of the Bio Lifting Mask. As for the Jasmine and Lily Healing mask, I would say it something I would repurchase. Particularly if my skin gets drier as I age. I know that this could be reliable when I have skin flare-ups where my skin gets flakey, dry and red. I have seen so many fellow skincare enthusiasts loving this product.  The mask is expensive, so if you are looking for a more budge-friendly option, the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ cream or the Bioderma Sensibio Soothing Mask are both great for sensitive and dry skin. The Avene Soothing Radiance Mask for Sensitive Skin is also very good for sensitive skin. I personally use the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ for everything from scratches, dry patches, chafing, rashes, etc. for myself and for my kids.
