Where I got it
I have seen this brand recently, mostly of their viral Cotton Soft Sun Stick. When I saw that they were doing up to 50% off storewide, I had a quick look and ordered a couple of items to try. However, the brand does not ship directly to New Zealand so I used YouShop, a freight-forwarding company for NZ. I picked up a Cotton Soft Sun Stick SPF50+ ($20 $10), Bio Watery Sun Cream SPF50+ ($20 $11), and Vita Tone Up Sun Cream SPF50+ ($20 $12). Shipping was free to the US warehouse of YouShop. After paying for shipping ($40.83 on 14/12), it arrived on 27/12. The total cost for these 3 sunscreens came to around NZD$93 including shipping.
What I got
I picked up one of each of their sunscreen range: the Cotton Soft Sun Stick SPF50+ (19g), Bio Watery Sun Cream SPF50+ (50ml), and the Vita Tone Up Sun Cream SPF50+ (50ml) (all PA++++).

How I find it
First of all, the viral sunscreen stick – the Cotton Soft Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++. The packaging looks simple and easy to use. The cap just pulls off to reveal the rectangular sunscreen stick with rounded corners. The entire base rotates to push out the product and it is a powdery light blue colour. Twist back the other way to retract. The texture of the sun stick is smooth, but a tad difficult to melt initially. I needed a few swipes to get the formula to soften and transfer onto my face. I like to swipe in one direction and not go backward in my swipe direction. Once applied, the skin feels dry to the touch without a powdery finish. It does feel very lightweight, but at the same time, I’m not so sure how much product I have on my face, thus how protected I am.
Next, we have the Bio Watery Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++. The watery sun cream comes in a slim bottle which is perfect for travelling and in your handbag. The screw-top bottle cap reveals a pointed dispenser for more control getting the right amount of product. You need to shake the bottle up to make sure everything is well mixed up inside. The texture of this watery sun cream is like a cross between serum and gel. It is lightweight, but also fresh like a gel. It’s a very pleasant texture.
You can easily measure a 2-finger length worth of product because it does not run like water. However, it spreads easily on the skin and becomes transparent right away. You can see the natural glow on the skin without looking greasy. It also feels hydrated and moisturized. This product is lightly fragranced. So far I am loving this.
Lastly, we have the Vita Tone Up Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++. This is a tone-up base with SPF, meaning it will brighten up the skin tone with a light white cast. This is not suitable for every skin tone on its own, but when used underneath your existing foundation, it helps to brighten the overall skin tone and provides good sun protection. This sun cream is used in place of any other sunscreen product, so if you use this, you don’t need another SPF underneath or on top. The texture of this sun cream is indeed a creamy consistency, different from the watery sun cream above. This sun cream has a light, pleasant floral scent that fades away gradually.
As you can see the tone-up sun cream can make the skin look quite pale, this is one that you need to make sure you blend out the edges carefully, otherwise, you get these white edges along your hairline, brows, sides of your nose, etc. I would suggest only using the 2-finger length of the product and nothing more because it can be quite hard to blend out, especially around the sides of the nose. Make sure to blend it into the neck and chest area otherwise, it will be a big difference in tone.
Overall
I absolutely LOVE the Bio Watery Sun Cream! I love the lightweight texture that is hydrating and moisturising without feeling thick and heavy. It doesn’t burden the skin whatsoever and it just blends effortlessly! I need to start looking at other online retailers that sell Tocobo so I know where to purchase it next time.
The Tone Up Sun Cream has just a tad too heavy of a white cast for me to wear daily without putting on foundation/tint over it. I just need to be careful when using this and make sure I blend it out carefully. Finally, I would say the Cotton Soft Sun Stick would be great as a touch-up or a top-up instead of my base SPF because I am unable to tell if my face is protected. From what I can see from the stick after I’ve used it, I barely made a dent after multiple swipes across my face. It is ultra-lightweight, but at the same time, I feel unprotected.
