Where I got it
After the previous purchase from Elle & Riley, I am so in love with cashmere pieces, but since they can be quite expensive, I waited for sales. I noticed that their Audrey Polos were on sale from $298 to $149, but the Audrey Polo is not 100% cashmere but with 85% Supima Cotton and 15% cashmere. Regardless, it is still a classic and high-quality piece that I would be able to wear on many occasions and for many years to come.

What I got
This is the Elle & Riley Audrey Polo in black. Short-sleeved Polo with a relaxed fit in our new summer yarn offers the freshness of cotton and the softness of cashmere with better resistance to pilling and is machine washable. Relaxed Fit. Short Sleeve. 85% Supima Cotton /15% Cashmere. Comes in Sky, Powder Pink, Black, and White. Sizes come in XS to XL.

How I find it
The piece came in a soft plastic bag and neatly folded and the piece is in perfect condition. The Supima cotton and cashmere fabric is soft and of medium weight. I got this in size XS as it is a relaxed fit, but I am usually size S/M. When I tried it on, it fit comfortably around the body and shoulders but was not as spacious around my arms as the model in the photo above. The length of the polo sits just on my hips so it’s not too long and not too short. I could wear a pair of jeans or shorts without looking frumpy. The collar opens out not too far for a modest and sophisticated look. The first time I wore this was a breezy summer day maximum 23°C so it was comfortable.
Let’s talk about Supima cotton. I am not an expert in textiles and I have not heard of Supima cotton before this piece. This is what I’ve found online: Supima cotton is twice as strong as regular cotton, which makes for extraordinarily resilient products. The longer fibre resists pulling, breaking and tearing, resulting in fashion and home products that are incredibly resilient and keep their form for a longer-lasting product. Supima is also softer and more luxurious due to its extra-long staple fibre. Unlike regular cotton, Supima cotton will retain its durability for a much longer period and is easy to care for.

Overall
Overall this piece is high quality and will stay in my wardrobe for a very long time. I usually go for light colours like pink or beige, but since I do not have a lot of short-sleeved dark pieces, I decided a black polo would be quite good to add to my collection. I thought it would attract a lot of dust and fibre, but it did not! The fibres also felt smooth without visible pilling after wear. I have yet to wash the piece in the machine as I have been washing it by hand with the cashmere wash I got from Elle & Riley. I also pressed it dry using towels and then lay flat to dry in the shade. The polo looked just like new and I didn’t need to wash it every single time I wear it, maybe 2-3 wears if I’m not sweating much.
