Where I got it
This has been one of the items I picked up while I was in Japan in April this year. I saw this brand briefly on Instagram and decided to pick up one to try. The serum blush has been so popular in Japan and Korea right now, and these are quite affordable. at 1,760 yen which is just about NZD $18. Only comes in 3 shades at the time I bought it and I went shade 01 My Sweet Pink.
I just checked at YesStyle and it is selling for NZD $47.59 each. What a price difference! I noticed that there are many brands (k-beauty and k-beauy) with these liquid blushes, so you are bound to find something that is a lot more afforable.
What I got
This is the Fujiko Suisai Cheek in 01 My Sweet Pink.
- With see-through watery coloring, you can achieve all of the moisture, complexion, and transparency.
- It has a fresh texture that is 75% water, and when applied to the skin, it adheres moistly like a moisture cream.
- Moisturizing ingredients prevent moisture from evaporating, giving your cheeks a natural glow and luster.
- A light finish that is non-sticky and comfortable to wear.
- A trendy smooth cheek finish with a flush-like color that oozes out from the inside like watercolor.
- Features a curved tip design that makes it easy to adjust the density and apply it to your cheeks.

How I find it
The liquid blush feels and looks like a lip tint. It’s not a watery liquid, but more like a liquid lipstick. The formula is lightweight and non-sticky. This shade is quite pale and would look a lot better or show up a lot more if you have fair skin. The watery, serum like formula makes it a little difficult to build up on pigmentation.
I like to apply it on my fingertips and then pat it over my cheek area. The formula is hydrating and dries down with a hint of dewiness. It does take some getting used to on how much to use because with a single layer, it did not look like I applied anything. But with a second layer I can start to see a sheer wash of colour. Once the product has dried down, I could see the colour a lot better.
Overall
I really enjoy the packaging of this liquid blush, but it’s not the amazing and beautiful thing I’ve ever seen and there are similar products out there. The formula is very hydrating on the skin. It looks really nice on the skin and the colour does stay on for a long time once the product has dried down. The application was a little fussier than I anticipated because the pigmentation was quite pale and sheer. I think a deeper shade for my skin tone would work a lot better. If you have lighter skintone than mine, this might look amazing on you. They do have a lavender shade which I’m thinking would look quite sheer and pale on my face as well. Overall, this is a nice blush for the price I paid for, but if it is $47, I would not recommend.
