Wellage One Day Kits – Collagen, Hyaluronic and Cica Calming

Where I got it

I picked these up from Olive Young because I saw it was recommended by a Chinese beauty influencer I follow on IG. This brand – WELLAGE is a K-beauty brand and it is new to me. There is currently 3 variations to the One Day Kits. I picked up 5 of these to try and they were between USD $4 and $4.50 each. These look gimmicky, but also nice for travelling! Let’s see how to perform.

What I got

These are the Wellage One Day kits in 3 different version – Real Gold Collagen, Real Cica Calm and Real Hyaluronic.

Real Gold Collagen. Collagen Capsule and Gold Solution that work together to revitalize the skin for a glowing, younger-looking look. The serum features:

Real Cica Calm. Wellage Real Cica Clear One Day Kit is a gentle, skin calming care kit made with a freeze dried Cica Capsule to keep Cica, Madecassoide and Centella Asiatica ingredients in the freshest condition. The serum features:

How I find it

First of all, these one day kits can be purchased in a 7-piece pack and they are handy for like an overnight trip or just a few days of travel. This is the serum step of the skincare so after cleansing and toning, you choose one for your skin concern. Peel open the round piece that is the capsule. The little white ball inside is a freeze-dried capsule that will melt upon contact with a liquid. You can mix the solution in the little container of the capsule or you can mix it in the palm of your hand. There is a generous amount of product for the entire face and neck and you should use the entire contents in one go.

Let’s have a look at the Real Gold Collagen first. I like to use the reedle shot serum before applying any serum to enhance the effects of what I apply on top. This collagen version has bits of gold flecks in the solution but once applied it disappears on the skin. The texture of this serum is a little thicker than an essence, more like a hydrating serum. My skin feels hydrated after using, and I would still need to use a moisturiser.

 

Next, I tried the Real Cica Calming. This is for skin calming, so if you have sensitive skin, redness, it would be great if you have acne flare ups as well. The solution has a light green colour to it and after mixing, the serum is very lightweight and watery. My skin also feels hydrated afterwards, but my skin seldom experience redness or sensitivity so I cannot really tell how effective it is for soothing and calming. However, I do suffer from the occassional acne flare-up or breakouts around the jaw-line. Sometimes from stress, sometimes from hormonal changes and sometimes from using new skincare. I noticed that whenever I use a skincare product/ingredient that does not work for me, I break out instead of getting any skin redness or rashes. I then find myself using skin barrier strengthening products as well as soothing products like cica to balance my skin, nurse it back to health and then start again.

Finally, I tried the Real Hyaluronic one. I love hyaluronic acid serums and I love how easily I can incorporate it into my skincare routine. It basically works with any other skincare ingredients – retinol, vitamin C, pepitdes, AHA, BHA, etc. Not only dry skin needs hydration, oily skin and acne-prone skin needs it too. I have committed too many skincare sins in my life and dehydration is one of them. I used to over-clean my skin and apply a thin, mattifying moisturiser on top without giving my skin proper hydration, causing it to feerl dry on the inside, and oily on the outside.

Long  story short, this serum is very hydrating and lightweight. Again, this has a watery texture like the Cical Calm. It has a light blue colour and my skin drinks it in. My skin feels really hydrated and plump after using this and I seal everything in with a moisturiser.

Overall

These one-day kits are so cute and fun to play around with. Whilst they seem gimmicky, these serums/essences feels really nice on the skin. Even though the results were not dramatic, but my skin did feel hydrated, soothed and moisturised after using these. The mixing was fun and not messy at all and I had no skin reactions to all of these. If I were to use these in a 7-day treatment regime, I would say my skin would feel plump and glowy afterwards.

So at the moment, if they have another sale or discount of the 7-set packs I would buy more to see the benefits of using these for a whole week. Otherwise, I would not go and stock up of these individual sets.
