Where I got it
Once again we have another StyleKorean’s high value-for-money skincare box. This time it is a collab with Jasmin Lily (IG and Tiktok influencer). She has AMAZING skin, you have to check out her socials to see! These skincare boxes are called “TIMEDEAL” where they are here for a limited time or until sold out. This box was launched on 27/9 and was available until 4/10 (7 days). These boxes can be very popular and stock can be low, but this box was still available on 1/10. The previous StyleKorean Box (Radiance Skin Recover box, not a collab box) sold out within 3 days.
This box has a total value of USD $123 and was only USD $35, which is 72% off. Of course I had to pay USD $20 for shipping to NZ, but for a total of USD $55 for a box of 6 full-sized products from Anua, it is absolutely worth it. I ordered this on 27/09 and it arrived on 14/10, which is just over 2 weeks all the way from Korea.

How I find it
Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil (200ml). I have been using this cleansing oil for over a month now and already have a back-up bottle, so this will be my second back-up! This cleansing oil has a smooth texture, just the perfect thickness for a good massage. I could use this to massage my face for over 2 minutes and it would still be slippery and smooth on the skin. It emulsifies easily and beautifully, and rinses off so easily.
Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam (150ml). I love a cleansing foam for the 2nd cleanse, especially for the PM skincare routine because I feel that it cleanses the best for all impurities, any makeup residue and surface dead skin cells. This cleansing foam…
Rice Enzyme Brightening Cleansing Powder (40g).This cleansing powder has to be the one that I was most excited about. Initially, I thought this would just be a usual cleansing powder that either fizzes up slightly or creates a paste for a gentle exfoliation, but this one actually creates a thick, almost slimy consistency that could stretch. The key to using this is you only need a small amount of powder and a decent amount of water. My tip would be to add water in two steps – first to kind of melt the powder so it doesn’t just run off your hands, once the powder is mixed and getting quite thick you can add more water to create this gooey, slimy slippery consistency. Otherwise you can mix this in a little bowl so it doesn’t get too messy.
The gentle exfoliation is sooo good for my skin, this makes my skin feels very smooth and clean afterwards, without any irritation or redness. There is not harsh scrubbing or rubbing, but it just works. Love this stuff.
Rice 70 Glow Milky Toner (250ml). I have been trying out a couple of milky toners lately and I am interested to see this one as well. Rice water and niacinamide balances excess sebum production and brightens the skin. Ceramides and protein to nourish the skin and strengthen skin’s barrier. You are excepted to get hydration and nourishment without the heaviness or stickiness. I have used this for a good 2 weeks on a daily basis and I really enjoy using it. The packaging is already very appealing and the milky colour of this toner is also very pleasing. It is quite watery and felts very much like what I got from washing my rice before I cook it. I would say this is great for oily skin or combination skin for weightless hydration and no residue on the skin. For people with normal or slightly dry skin, I would reach for something like Laneige Cream Skin or Tir Tir Milk Skin Toner for a thicker consistency and that moisturising film on the skin.
Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Dark Spot Correcting Serum (30ml). This serum is also something that I have my eyes on (as well as the pink one – peach 70% niacinamide), but this one also has 4% Tranexamic acid and 2% Arbutin which helps with hyperpigmentation and dark spots. If you are more concerned with sensitivity and skin barrier, you should try the Peach 70% Niacinamide, but if you also want to treat dark spot and hyperpigmentation, you should try this one.
Tranexamic Acid (TXA to be short) has not been a popular ingredient in skincare products previously, but I have been seeing it more and more, especially in Asian brands. TXA has been used medically to treat menstrual flow in women. I have had to take TXA tablets about a year ago to do exactly that and I researched about the drug and noticed that it has skin benefits as well for dark spots, melasma and hyperpigmentation. I was on the tablet for at least 6 months and I really did notice an improvement in my overall skin tone. However, I was unable to keep getting these tablets from my GP because my menstrual flow issue has been fixed. All I want to say is I am hopeful to see results using this new ingredient topically because I saw real results when TXA was taken orally.
Heartleaf 70% Intense Calming Cream (50ml). Once again, a true Anua product – focusing on soothing and calming, using 70% Heartleaf extract, Ceramides and Panthenol. Heartleaf, also known as Houttuynia Cordata, is packed with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, and a range of skin-nourishing compounds.
I find this cream to be a nice fall-back kind of moisturiser for all skin concerns or siutations. It is fragrance free, and without actives that would fight with your other skincare products. This cream creates a barrier to protect the skin ad delivers soothing and calming ingredients to increase the skin’s natural barrier system. This is also lovely cream to use with my Age-R Pro skincare device because it gives a nice glide without feeling oily or greasy.
Overall
I am so pleased with this box. I got to try a lot of Anua products that I have not tried before. The overall brand is very appealing, the packaging and texutres are really gorgeous. I personally enjoyed all of the products in this box, plus the other Anua products that I have bought in the past. They do focus a lot on soothing, calming, pore-care and gentle exfoliation for brightening. Their products strengthens the skin’s barrier to help achieve really healthy-looking skin.
After years of dealing with my skin issues, I find that my hormonal acne gets aggrevated mostly by my diet and my stress, less from the skincare I use. When I have breakouts, I have a bad habit of touching it and picking at it, which makes me really conscious and I would result in using a harsh ingredient on top to “fix” it. Mostly of the time it just takes more time to work and the breakouts would spread. However, I have now learned to just reduce the amount of aggressive acids and ingredients on my skin to let my skin barrier heal and strengthen. I would then see an improvement to my break outs. It takes time, but it does work.
All I’m trying to say is, Anua’s calming and soothing products are great for all skin types – whether you have dry skin, dehydrated skin, oily skin or acne-prone skin. Even though I know that I will never transform from a face full of acne-scarring to super-smooth glass-skin, I am happy to know that my skin is not flaring up with breakouts and redness.
