Laka Lip Tints

Where I got it

I caught a massive deal over at StyleKorean where the Laka Fruity Glam Tints are only $1, but there are only 3 shades to choose from at this price. I bought my first Laka Fruity Glam Tint while I was in Japan earlier this year because I had seen it on social media and it was an impressive product. I also paid USD$19.99 for shipping because my order was under the free international shipping threshold, making this to be around $7.60 each which is still a good deal.

What I got

I picked up all 3 Laka Fruity Glam Tint shades that were part of the offer, along with one Popping Balloon Tint to get me over the order total for a free cosmetics pouch.

Popping Balloon Tint (44g).

How I find it

The Popping Balloon Tint has a pink-tinted tube and a pink lid so you cannot see the colour of the lip tint inside. Upon pulling the wand out, the consistency looks juicy and hydrating. It looks no different to the Fruity Glam Tint in terms of pigment. However, after application, the colour sets down to a translucent colour instead of an opaque colour. But the gloss remains. The tint feels hydrating and fresh on the lips without feeling sticky or thick. This shade compliments my natural lip colour with a light wash of colour.

The Fruity Glam Tint is a lot more pigmented compared to the Popping Balloon Tint. All 3 shades I have are deeper and brighter though, so that might not be a good comparison. However, the Fruity Glam tint does leave a strong tint on the lips and the colour stays true from when it was just applied. As the gloss wears off, the tint stays without looking patchy or sinking into crevasses.

Overall

I have been enjoying all of these lip tints so much. I like to reach for the Popping Balloon Tint for the day, mostly because of the shade I picked. The Fruity Glam Tints are more pigmented, but I would still reach for  114 Harmony during the day or the weekend as the shade is so pretty. A light layer would give me a natural-looking wash of colour. A second layer would increase the intensity of the colour so I would do 2 layers when I’m going out and want more coverage. I love the watery texture on the lips and it is not sticky or thick at all. It gives your lips a nice shiny finish that looks natural and chic.
