Karen Walker x Levi’s shopping haul

Earlier in February, I won a Karen Walker x Levi’s giveaway on their Instagram and the prize was a $1000 voucher to spend on the two brands and an ikebana class at the KW Britomart store. Unfortunately, the event was in the morning and they gave me less than 2 days notice to attend. As a part-time employee in the monring and mum for the rest of the day, I was unable to attend unless I take time off work. I was bummed that I couldn’t attend because I am interested in floral arrangement, and it was a japan-inspired arrangement as well!

Anyway, for the main prize I get to spend $500 on Levi’s, and $500 on Karen Walker. I was able to shop online with a special voucher code, or in any of their stores. I thought I would shop online, but since I have not bought any Levi’s jeans I did not know my size. So I decided I needed to go into the store to try things on.

There were many styles available at the Britomart store and most of them were full-lenght and slightly baggy. With a petite frame at 157cm (5’1), I wanted to find a pair slightly baggy jeans, and at least one pair of classic fit. I would also like a range of shades, but nothing black. I like how Levi’s jeans are sized to waist size, and then length. Most of the styles in stores are minimum 31″ which is the longest I can wear, my legs are not long enough for anything longer than 31″. The only pair I found that was 28″ were the straight cut classic, which you will see below.
