Rockabilly makeup look – 40’s glamour makeup

I created this look to complete my rockabilly hairstyle featuring Sebastian hair-styling products. Below is a list of the products I used for this look. If you want to see how I did this hair style – click here!

Step 1: After moisturising, I apply Maybelline Age Rewind primer all over my face to smooth out pores and fine lines.

Step 2: To ensure flawless-looking skin, I used Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation in 2C3 Fresco and applied with my fingertips. The foundation glides onto my skin effortlessly with the primer underneath. Double Wear gives me full coverage and great oil-control.

Optional Step 3: I applied a lighter shade light coverage foundation over Double Wear just to make my skin tone lighter than it is naturally. I also applied a Loreal Lumi Pure Light primer on my cheeks as a highlight.

Step 4: I apply Nude by Nature Mineral Concealor under my eyes and any imperfections (Double wear pretty much covers everything for me anyway).

Step 5: For Dita von Teese brows, I used Bobbi Brown brow pencil to draw and fill in my brows with a nice arch.

Step 6: I did not apply any eye shadow for this look but I did use ….. from the Naked 2 palette to my brow bone to give my brow more dimension.

Step 7: I like to curl my lashes before I do my eye makeup, so I curl my lashes then I use my favorite Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner in black to line my eyes then i went over it with a black gel liner. I cleaned up any mistakes with a cotton bud to ensure a sharp line.

Step 8: I then apply 2 coats of Estee Lauder Zero-smudge lengthening mascara. When it dries, I apply my Red Cherry lashes in… This is a very dramatic set of lashes which are like 4 times the length of my own lashes (whoa)!

Step 9: I did not use any bronzer or blush with this look, but I did use a mattifying powder over it and I used Rimmel’s Stay matte in …..

Step 10: Lastly I used Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Big Bang directly on my lips (This is super pigmented and is a great true red). FINISHED!

I’m not a professional makeup artist or hair stylist but I do enjoy makeup and beauty. I do believe there are not right or wrong way of applying makeup or doing my hair. Everyone does things a little differently 🙂 However, I  really appreciate your opinions and suggestions! Have a wonderful day and I hope you find this helpful. XOXO
