I have been watching youtube videos and blog posts by Jean from Extrapetite.com and I came across this post where she compared her Christian Louboutin Simple Pumps to her Ann Taylor Perfect Pumps and I was sold (mainly because I cannot afford to buy CL pumps without trying them on first!). I love her blog and her videos, be sure to check her out!
Where I got this: I bought these on the Ann Taylor website. They do not ship to New Zealand, but I used YouShop (a service provided by NZ Post). They offer flat rate shipping ($8.95) or free shipping (within US if over $175). The shipping from the NZ Post warehouse in US to my New Zealand address cost me $31.50NZD.
What I got: I got the Perfect Pumps in patent black leather in US 5.5 for $72.95. They are $128USD full prices and they were on sale for 50% off! Ann Taylor nearly always have a sale on, sometimes up to 70%, so wait for a sale to buy these babies!
How I find it: The patent leather was in mint condition and the shoe was really well made. The pumps are leather on the outside, synthetic leather sole and outsole (the previous perfect pumps had leather soles as well, but they changed it for some reason). Reviews on these pumps on the website shows that these shoes run true to size, but one main thing is that these pumps are really narrow at the vamp. So for wide feet girls, these might fit a bit too tight. But mind you, leather do soften up the more you wear it. For me, the vamp is a little tight, but I believe after they are broken into, they will soften up. The height of the heels are perfect
How I would wear it: This pump is so versatile because the silhouette is so chic and elegant. The height of these pumps means you could walk in these comfortably without feeling painful. The patent leather can be dressed up with a little black dress, or dressed down with a pair of slim cut jeans. You could also wear this to work (office environment is more suitable) with dress pants, dress skirts for a more corporate look, yet still comfortable to walk around.
Top (the vamp is quite narrow-vamp is approx. where your toe starts)
